In line-outs and scrums, winning the ball can depend entirely on how much each team is willing to compete for it!
Before the ball is thrown into the lineout or scrum both teams must decide how much they are willing to compete.
WHAT TO DO…
- Set up the line-out / scrum as usual. Do not place the ball yet.
- Starting with the defending team, each coach competes by placing up to 3 Pressure Play Cards from their deck, face down, on the field. They do not need to place any at all.
Each card placed by the attacking team is +1 to the Skill required for the successfull line-out / scrum.
Each card placed by the defending team is -1 to the Skill required for the successfull line-out / scrum.
- Place the ball on the player you wish to receive the ball.
- Now take the required skill + attacking players cards - defending players cards to determine the final dice roll required for a successfull line-out-scrum.
